Cornwall really is bloody lovely isn’t it?

Kat and Kieran know that, which is why they’ve holidayed here so much and decided to get married at the gorgeous Pencarrow House in the middle of the Cornwall countryside. You things are getting seriously rural when you can barely fit your car down the backroad towards the venue and your only option of navigation is with the stars or with spidey senses.

We kicked things off at the lovely Tregulland Cottages where everyone was getting ready but in separate cottages. This place is damn cool, with some enormous views and an even more enormous dining table. Had a field day shooting portraits here! Kat looked unreal in her Sassi Holford dress which she got from The Dress in Teddington—I mean, just look at the thing!

Once everyone was ready, we whizzed off to Pencarrow House where everyone was getting their drink on in the gardens before the outdoor ceremony. This venue is absolutely stunning. So much land, such a beautiful building and just a photographer’s dream. The ceremony was in such a great spot, right up against the garden wall which is covered in wisteria and all sorts of other wild vines and flowers.

Trying to work out if I’ve ever seen an impromptu singalong right in the middle of a wedding ceremony before—but it sure did happen this day!

Ceremony done, we all walked over to the front of the house for confetti, drinks and canapés. Kat and Kieran had a fair number of guests at their wedding, I mean it’s basically a destination wedding so why not?! And Pencarrow House is the perfect place for such a big wedding with all of the space for everyone to explore.

The entire place was transformed into an outdoor festival for the evening reception, with a beautifully patterned marquee hosting the dinner—and garden games, camping, Glastonbury Festival style flags and just about everything else you could imaging bringing the vibes late into the evening.

Singing waiters are always a good laugh, and these ones were no exception. In fact, I see my fair shares of singing waiters but these guys really made the day and got everyone going. So much so that I think everyone lost their heads a little at this point and the party didn’t ever settle down again!

The dance floor was just as expected—rowdy. I love it when everyone’s had a few too many and throw some serious shapes on the dance floor. It’s where all of the best photos are captured and everyone’s let their hair down. Wasn’t even sure where to point my camera half the time, but thankfully most of the chaos seemingly just came and found me.

A massive highlight of the season! Kat and Kieran—you guys did damn good.

Stuart captured our wedding so perfectly! He and his team were so lovely to have there on the day – really unobtrusive, really friendly, and made everyone feel really relaxed. The photos are just breathtaking, he captured so many amazing memories – especially from our dance floor – I’ve never seen so many amazing dancing shots, we feel so lucky to have these moments captured – especially as on the day we didn’t get to dance with everyone in our huge wedding party – these photos make me feel like we didn’t miss a minute!

Thank you so much Stuart, we can’t choose which ones to frame, they’re all too good!
